Your sprouts are growing when you see the white root poking out! Yay! Now for juicing; Why do you juice? ~To get your daily intake of raw veggies and fruits, that would take FOREVER to eat! ~To get some enzymes into your system! The SAD, standard American Diet, lacks enzymes and most of us eat our food cooked, so we essentially deplete our own enzymes to digest the food we eat. This is a way to keep your enzyme levels up. ~Raw plant juice is a very efficient at detoxifying your body of crap you've accumulated over the years. ~This is a living food, and its energy is very available to you at the time of consumption. What can you juice? Sprouts, veggies, dark leafy greens, fruits, grass, etc... Some things to consider when juicing; Some vegetables have compounds in them when raw that can have a detrimental affect on your health, like Oxalic Acid found in the brassica family, this leads to gall stones, goitergens, which interfere with Thyroid efficiency, and alkaloids among other things. Do some research about ways to offset the effects of these compounds, a good website is www.whfoods.com. I use apple cider vinegar in my drink because it predigests the vegetable matter, making it more digestible for me. How to make your drink taste better? Add some raw honey, stevia, lemon or lime juice if you are so inclined.
